Tapered wrap dimensions are calculated from exact conical frustum geometry. Because blank tumblers vary by manufacturer batch, always print the free 1:1 paper test-fit strip and verify the 1-inch / 10-mm ruler before pressing sublimation transfers.

    How the warp works

Inverse polar warping, in plain terms

A flat rectangle has straight top and bottom edges; the tumbler template has two arcs around a far-away centre. To warp the rectangle, the tool walks every pixel of the output sector and asks where it came from: its distance from the centre gives the height on your design, and its angle gives the position across it.

Working backwards like this, called inverse mapping, means no output pixel is ever skipped or doubled. Each one is coloured by bilinear sampling, a weighted blend of the four nearest source pixels, so lines stay smooth on the curve. The same mapping is used for the preview, the cup and the free PNG, so all three agree.

    Canvas size

What size to draw your design in Canva or Procreate

Draw at the size the design will print, before it is bent. The width is the average of the rim and base arc lengths and the height is the slant height. At 300 DPI that gives the canvases below; designing at these proportions means stretch mode does not squash anything when the image is warped.

    32oz Tapered Bottle3201 × 2362 px1.3553722 × 2520 px · 12.41 × 8.40 in

The warped PNG is larger than the design canvas because the curved sector needs a wider bounding box than the flat strip. For the 20 oz skinny the design is 2626 × 2433 px and the warped file 2755 × 2467 px, transparent outside the cut line and tagged at 300 DPI.

    Fit modes

    Stretch, fill and fit compared

    ModeWhat happensBest for
StretchCorners of the image go to the corners of the template; proportions change a littleSeamless patterns and designs made at the canvas size above
FillKeeps proportions and crops whatever overflows the templatePhotos and artwork with a centred subject
FitKeeps proportions and shows the whole image, with transparent marginsLogos and text you must not crop

The built-in textures, Retro Checkerboard Grid, Botanical Wildflower Seamless, Western Cowhide & Turquoise, Holographic Glitter Gradient, Precision Calibration Grid, are generated at the exact proportions of each blank, so they never need cropping. They are useful for checking a blank before you commit a real design: the checkerboard and the calibration grid make any distortion or seam shift obvious.

    How to use it

Warping and printing a tumbler design

    1. Set the blank first

Pick a preset or type measurements; the warp always follows the current template.

    2. Drop your design

PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG up to 15 MB and 6000 px; the file is checked by its contents, not its name.

    3. Choose fit and mirror

Pick stretch, fill or fit, and turn on mirror if your workflow prints face down.

    4. Download the PNG

Save the free 300 DPI PNG, print the test-fit PDF once, then print the design.

    FAQ

    Questions makers ask

How do I warp a rectangular image to a tapered tumbler?

Choose your blank, open the Artwork Polar Warp tab and drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG on the upload card. The design is bent into the sector in your browser, shown on the flat template and on the cup, and the free button downloads a 300 DPI PNG cut to the template outline.

    Is my image uploaded anywhere?

Not for the free tools. The preview and the 300 DPI PNG are made on your device and the file never leaves it. Only if you export a paid production pack does the browser send a re-encoded copy of the artwork to this site, where it is processed in memory and discarded when the download finishes.

Which way up does the warped PNG come out?

The top edge of your design lands on the outer, wider arc, which is the rim of a normal tapered tumbler, and the left edge lands on the left end of the template. Load the direction test image to see it: red stays on top, green at the bottom, blue left and yellow right unless you turn on mirroring.

What is the difference between stretch, fill and fit?

Stretch maps the four corners of the image to the four corners of the template, so nothing is cropped but proportions change slightly. Fill keeps the proportions and crops the overflow. Fit keeps the proportions and shows the whole image, leaving transparent space at the sides or the top and bottom.

Why not just use a warp tool in a photo editor?

A freehand warp bends the picture by eye, so arcs and seam edges rarely match the real cone. Here every pixel is placed with the same frustum math as the cut template, using inverse polar mapping and bilinear sampling, so the curved design and the 1:1 SVG line up exactly at the seam.
